After decades of music, entrepreneurship, and advocacy, Master P is stepping away from the mic. His farewell performance at Essence Festival 2025 in New Orleans marked a turning point.
“Rap was my calling, but giving back is my mission now,” he told In Da Streets Radio in an exclusive statement. P plans to focus on youth programs, real estate education, and sports mentorship.
The performance included a medley of classics like “Make ‘Em Say Ugh” and “Bout It, Bout It,” ending with emotional footage of P’s community outreach. A documentary is in the works, tentatively titled From Platinum to Purpose.
